They get their name from the classic video game character, Pac-Man, because they are incredibly round and have giant mouths. These frogs are a bright yellow-orange color with pink or red eyes. Pacman frogs originate from the wet tropical jungles, grasslands, and savannas of South America. They are native to countries like Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia.
