Ceratogyrus sanderi, commonly called the Namibian Horned Baboon Tarantula or Sandy Horned Baboon, is a small, active, and highly defensive Old World fossorial species native to southern Africa, particularly Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and parts of South Africa. Visually, C. sanderi strikes a balance between the classic Ceratogyrus horned look and a more subtle, sandy-toned appearance. The pale yellow band on the underside adds a distinctive touch, while the horn and robust build make it unmistakable among African baboon tarantulas.
