Green Pacman Frog (Ceratophrys cranwell)i
Commonly called South American horned frogs or Pacman frogs — known for their large mouths, rounded bodies, and horn-like skin folds above the eyes. The “green” designation refers to their base coloration, which can vary in shade and may be enhanced by patterns or morphs. The genus Ceratophrys includes eight species, such as C. cranwelli (Cranwell’s horned frog) and C. ornata (Argentine horned frog), which are the most popular in captivity. In the wild, they inhabit humid, forested areas of South America. In captivity, they are valued for their docile nature, ease of care, and striking appearance.
